Raising funds for the University of Gaza
HOW MUCH WILL YOUR ISOC RAISE?
Palestinians, who are among the most highly educated nations have been, for many years, had their education institutions targeted. As a result, thousands of young Palestinians have lost their only chance of obtain a bachelors degree, never mind reaching their common target of a Masters degree or even a PhD. A very recent incident took place, in January 2009, in which nothing was left of entire departments at the University of Gaza but rubble and wreckage.
Marking the end of the FOSIS Palestine Week, we are asking your ISoc to hold a Jumu’ah collection on Friday the 12th of February for the University of Gaza Appeal. All proceeds will be going to Educational Aid for Palestine (EAP) and Interpal.
Education is the most powerful weapon one can use to change the world. We’ve had our chance to get into Education, so lets become a reason for the Palestinians to have theirs!
